Face Masking
There is nothing that bonds, quite like a night of face masking!
Unless you are Scout — who is too cool for the group shot!
(He was actually applying said face mask, when we took the first mask!)
Jeopardy
It is a Jeopardy date — every night!
They now compete to see who knows the most answers. And every once in a while, when the subjects are just right — Scout takes a win!
Big Oak
It was a group effort to getting everyone in the big oak tree outside of Cafe Rio tonight.
That group effort was led by the most competent kids I know.
Good work Navy and Scout.
Punished
Navy brought a distraught Pippi to me in her arms.
Dash was the culprit.
When I asked Pippi what she wished for me to do with Dash, she said, “punish him”!
Wish granted.
Creative Thinking
When your mom forgets to change your P.E. clothes from the washer to the dryer…it is time to get creative on the way to school.
Scout is so rad. Instead of whining and complaining, he just laughed, and stuck his shirt out his window to solve the problem.
When you are star of the week, you get to show off your coolest treasures!
Even your pink stuffed bear wearing a diaper!
I tried to talk her out of it — but she was set, and had the best time showing it off.
Good news: the classed loved it — and every question the class asked afterwards, was about the pink bear in the diaper!
Classy
I like to tell Pippi that she is classy.
I am not sure if me telling her she is classy, or her being classy — prompts falling asleep with her legs crossed.
So classy!
FINALLY!
I always said 12 is the magic age.
But when your perfect daughter — who never asks for anything — asks for one “little baby thing”, you stop and listen.
And then you uncharacteristically give in.
How do you say no to her one request of the year!
She was so excited!
Pippi cried.
Nonnie cried.
Pippi was jealous and furious that it wasn’t a sister’s piercing day.
Nonnie was sad that time has flown by too fast.
