Pippi has been talking a lot about modeling lately — and she thinks she has it nailed.
Maybe she does!
But when Navy wouldn’t take it seriously, Pippi gave up and joined the silliness.
And after this “group modeling shot”, Pippi said that Scout will NEVER be a model!
With hair in his face like that — Pippi…I agree!
Today is the biggest celebration in my kid’s elementary school classes.
It ended up being an all-day affair for me, as I went to three performances, a dragons dance, and a few feasts.
Navy had a very important job, of keeping the beat with the cymbals at the school’s Dragon Dance. She nailed it.
Pippi sang a bunch of Chinese tunes — including “Gonji gonji gonji nee-ya!”
And Dash also sang to me in Chinese.
And flashed me a few “I Love You’s” while he was at it!
Who knew that someone could be as active and aware in their 90’s.
Oh yeah — and look so good!
Happy Birthday Great Grandma!
Micah got all of the bikes ready for the kids today.
They were hitting the jumps.
Here are each of their best shots:
First through fourth place respectively.
The kids were having a real hankering for bagels. So they decided to get ready really early, bring the scriptures in the car, and have me drive them to Bagels this morning, so they could satisfy their cravings while I read to them.
Smooth move kids.
I had to take this picture on the sly — but a miracle happened today.
Scout ate a salad!!!!
And he even tried a little ranch on that salad!!!!
Navy is the most thoughtful and kind child on earth!
Today, she gathered signatures, for everyone to give me a “mom coupon” — good for a foot rub, head rub, cuddle, or staying quiet when I am trying to do something!
What a gift — it’s the BEST kind of gift!
We got a call to meet up in Glamis (actually Buttercup), and we went.
It was the usual suspects:
As always — it was a GREAT time!
-
It was even greater, when we woke up in Buttercup, and it was Navy’s birthday!
All of the kids created a party for her, and Micah and I got and filled a pinata for everyone.
micah found the perfect place to hang the shell pinata!
And all of these desert rats went to town!
By nighttime — Navy was one year older.
And all four of my kids were sound asleep in the back of the car.
Micah took the kids camping — and these were the pictures I got sent.
A pre-teen, carrying every knife he has around his waist — including a machete wrapped in a towel! And because there was a little open space, he was able to fit a deck of cards on that same waistband.
But apparently — the machete posted some problems when he tried to sit and fish — so the “utility belt” was left behind.
I drove up next to the stooges, and they were BELTING out a primary song from Britni’s car.
These three are all so stinky — and mostly good — at the same time!
