Micah and I booked a last minute vacation, as soon as we heard Tristen was going to be in town, and was willing to watch our chitlins.
We started off in New Orleans, then cruised to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel.
I would have never guessed how much Micah and I both needed that trip!
But to put things into perspective, When we got onto the cruise ship, we both went to sleep for about 18 hours straight!
But after our long rest, we got down to business….
We cuised and relaxed to the max.
And of course, we ate to the max too!
—
It was amazingly great.
Thank you Bella!
There is nobody I would ever leave my kids with that I would trust the way I trust Tristen.
She is like my clone, and does everything right — as far as I am concerned.
She arranges rad sleepovers.
She makes sure the “baby” of the family is part of the happenings.
She feeds the kids well.
—
But of everything she does well, she disciplines them exactly right!
Like the time when Navy pooped on the side yard, but then denied it…(By The Way…who does that?!!!)
She had to write “I will not lie about pooping like a dog” 25 times.
(But notice…that she put Scout’s name on the top of the paper, so that when I got home and I saw it, he would be busted instead of her!)
Slick move.
-
Bella, you are the best!!!
And I owe you big time when your kids are driving you crazy!
Scout got up on the wake surfer this morning.
It was his first time, and ultra-exciting!
We love Lake Perris with the Brockbanks.
Just a bunch of crazy kids waiting to go into Bella’s ultrasound to confirm she is having a boy.
!!!!!!!!!!!!
But it’s a GIRL!!!!
Talk about an exciting and surprising day!
Just a one-year-old with enough sass to work the runways with the likes of Naomi Campbell.
This was a fakey walk, but I totally saw the Old Navy employees eyeing her for their upcoming shows.
There is one sure way to this boy’s heart — lemonade.
And ice cream is a close second.
It was a great day to chat with a good girlfriend while picnicking on the sand.
It was also a great day to be out in the water for hours with a buddy, and a toy surfer.
It was a yogurt kind of day.
And a seaweed searching kind of day.
And it’s always a game-playing kind of day.
Micah found out that tonight was one of the best meteor showers this century.
Mostly because there was no competing moon.
So we all geared up, got in the car, and headed south.
On the way, we picked up Trey and Doey, and went about another hour to the San Diego observatory.
Too bad it was closed.
Good thing that just outside the gates, there was a paved side area to set up shop.
And despite the scary monster that freaked us out and sleeping in the car for a few hours, we actually saw some of the better shooting stars I’ve ever seen!
This girl asked for a special baking date. So we made “Chocolate Chip Cookies With Barely Any Chocolate Chips”.
Just what Bella ordered!
It blows me away that Pippi looks like a disaster at all times. She is like a whirlwind, and when everyone walks out the door to church — looking like a million bucks — she walks out in a state of disaster. Her clothes are disheveled, her hair is usually falling out — and without a bow, and of course her shoes are mysteriously missing.
This girl is crazy, but we all adore her.
