Anyone who knows me, knows how much I despise hair!
So my little angel thought she would test me.
I told her if she didn’t go out with that disgusting thing, I would put her in her bedroom for the rest of the night.
Good thing she knew I was serious!
Even though I edited out the scandal, you can imagine how surprised I was when this boy came in claiming he was going to get me!
I started laughing so hard, and offered to let him be exactly that for Halloween!
Scout, nice creative juices!
Micah has taken the kids on the rock jetty several times. But they have never made it all the way to the end….until today!
These are the pictures I got from their excursion:
The water was ridiculously clear, and they had to take a few water breaks along the way due to the heat.
Micah said the further they got out, the more wildlife they saw.
Poor Navy took a digger on the way.
But the trek was worth it.
They came back beaming from ear to ear that they finally made it after all of these years!
When they finished, they found “wildlife”.
And then told their siblings the details of their expedition.
Just a friendly competition between siblings of “stand on one foot”.
Just a baby gift to little Ducky (Dash’s nickname for Bella’s baby), from the hat-loving aunt.
Pippi did a great modeling job!
Scout informed me that he came up with a schedule, and was going to be in charge of the events of the day.
Check it out!

Sounds like a day an 8 year old boy would come up with!
We covered a few of these, but had to get in some jobs, education, and other important life-lessony things.
I’m not sure why my mom was anxious for me to bring my kids to visit her at the hospital.
They are all so well-behaved, I guaranteed her that they would not mess up her newly-fixed back.
But I didn’t guarantee that they wouldn’t pilfer all of her food and water.
Nor did I guarantee that my kids wouldn’t make fools of themselves.

It was a short stay, because keeping Pippi away from her beloved Nonnie was almost too much for me to handle.
Good thing Dash brought a box of suckers to keep her occupied most of the time.
But the great news is that Nonnie is doing great, and so is her back!
These two have a thing for one another.
Just look at that little smile creeping in, behind the finger she is sucking.
Scout was in surf camp with Brad Barber, and did awesome!
Brad said he got it the very first day, and was really good and natural.
He said the Scout’s balance is excellent, and that his balance board probably prepared him nicely.
Nice work Scout!
The best part — Brad said that Scout was hilarious, because he talked the whole time they were out in the water — even the whole time he surfed the wave in!
That’s my Scout.
I finally caught Pippi in the act of utilizing her new favorite hiding place.
You should see the sorts of things I discover when I change her diaper — Legos, money, spoons, etc.
