Micah found out that tonight was one of the best meteor showers this century.
Mostly because there was no competing moon.
So we all geared up, got in the car, and headed south.
On the way, we picked up Trey and Doey, and went about another hour to the San Diego observatory.
Too bad it was closed.
Good thing that just outside the gates, there was a paved side area to set up shop.
And despite the scary monster that freaked us out and sleeping in the car for a few hours, we actually saw some of the better shooting stars I’ve ever seen!
