Pippi was so proud of herself for climbing this tree, she made me take a photo. Then another. And then another!

Student of the Week for Dash!
Dash was picked as this week’s Student of the Week.
Yes, there is a little paper to fill out. But like his older siblings got — we made a huge poster out of it! He loved rounding everything up for it, and choosing the important things that went on it.
I loved the letter I got to write him…that I will read to him this Thursday in class.
(Update: when I read it to him, all of the kids were cracking up, while Dash had an ear to ear smile!)
Daddy DAughter Hoe Down
Navy reminded her dad several times about the Daddy Daughter Hoe Down this year.
She was so excited to go, and thank goodness we were able to figure out a last minute outfit, after this hoe down snuck up on me!
Not bad for a last minute round up!
In fact…the daddy cowboy informed me that the little cowgirl was the cutest one at the dance!
When they took off, it was so cute how they got in the car, and chatted it up the whole way there!
The next morning, they both individually told me that it was a really fun night!
Matching Suits
Thank goodness for my friend’s swimsuit company “Minnow” , who made matching swimsuits in both of my girl’s sizes!
Long live matchers!
Art Projects
My kids spent all day doing art.
It was a day of pure gratification for me..as I watched them all create.
As I looked at all of the completed projects, I realized that nature was the theme of the day…
rainbows to be exact.
Mr. Holt
I am so grateful that my kids have a piano teacher they like. He is so patient, loving, and kind. My kids work hard for him…not out of fear, but out of wanting to please him. Each week, as Mr. HOlt arrives, they sit down happily, and spend 30 minutes with him…trying their best. It is awesome to see..and especially awesome to see Navy excelling so much this past year!
And when Mr. Holt isn’t there…it is really awesome to see Scout practice hard.
And take it from me, from when I was younger…that is impressive.
Pippi’s Train Field Trip
I used to almost hate the train field trip for the kids. Mostly because we had our kids in the blazing Oceanside sun for three hours straight.
That is…until I discovered that Ruby’s on the end of the pier is open for breakfast.
So we arrive by train, play with schoolmates for 30 minutes, and then walk to the end of the pier for a breakfast date!
Then walk back to the departing train and say hello to all of our flying friends along the way.
Pippi Rocks
Not only did Pippi set the entire table by herself today…
But she closed the night out with an inspiring self portrait.
Pippi, you are getting big too fast!

Pippi and Gus
Pippi really loves GusGus. NayNay thinks it might be a tad bit too much love. But is there really such a thing? I don’t think so, nor does Pippi. So love away Pips.
