Micah took these two to the Dana point half pier for an afternoon of fishing.
Surprisingly…it was a major success!
They both caught tons of fish…but Dash dominated all afternoon.
Micah couldn’t believe how many fish they caught..and said it was an awesome day on the pier.
As little girls do, these two ran all around the Red Balloon outlet, and tried on the ugliest outfits they could find today!
Each time, their giggles got louder and louder!
How fun for Navy to have a girl cousin her age!!!
After trying out to speak at graduation, Scout got the gig. He spent a few days perfecting his speech (which of course was memorized), and I was SOOO proud of him! He nailed it. He didn’t trip up, he paused as the audience laughed, he had personality, and he was completely confident! He was awesome!
Principal Hauser even found me after to tell me that Scout has a talent like he has never seen before!
That’s a pretty awesome principal encounter after a few others I have had!
Afterwards, we ran around and got pictures with some of Scout’s favorites…including Noah of course!
His amazing tutor Po-Le.
Obviously Amazing Grace!
Grandma and Grandpa were so proud of him!
As were we…obviously!!!
And last….but not even close to least….Mrs. Komine!!!
She was so proud of Scout today…and always!
So off to Hive…our last day of school tradition…for some tasty popsicles!
Thank you Rubiks Cube, for allowing my kids to get smarter and smarter each time they pick you up. I love seeing a Rubiks Cube in any of my kid’s hands. Scout dominates that cube. Navy is great at getting one side. And Dash is coming up in the rear, with being able to get one side too! It is my favorite thing to see them do lately.
On my way to meet our kids and Seth’s kids at the beach, I saw this view of them all playing together.
In my opinion…this beats an ocean view all day, every day.
But I guess that is a bit oxymoronic.
I headed down to Scout’s graduation party today. He was hanging with his two best buds — Noah and Jaden. I was proud of Scout, and the friends he picked to hang out with. These three are all good boys.
You want proof?
How about three fifth graders inviting Dash (the Kindergartner) to hang with them for the entire second half of the fifth grade party!
Pretty rad.
Today was the final ABC preschool graduation we may ever attend!
Sadly, Pippi is moving on to Transitional Kindergarten.
Her graduation ceremony was very exciting. Especially when she tricked a girl into getting up to talk to her mom, so she could swipe the seat she wanted most. (Chip off the old block.) Then…the most exciting part, was what award she was going to get.
No remember…Scout and Navy both got the Math Whiz awards!!! And Dash got the Best Reader award. Ms. Dianne only hands out educational awards on rare occasions…so we were highly anticipating what Pippi would get….
It’s official.
Pippi’s face says what I felt.
She got the “Circle Time” award.
What is that?
She can sit in the best circle???
Ms. Dianne explained that she is a leader, and is such a big helper during circle time, where all of the kids need to pay attention….
AKA Pippi got the “Bossy” award.

Well Pips…I know you don’t care if you know your numbers or letters…and you certainly don’t give a rip if you can read…but one day, you may have to memorize lines for your feature film…and then who’s going to be bummed?
Try a little harder sweet thing.
I can always count on Micah to take a quick rest with our kids to get them to take a nap when they need it.
I just can’t always count on him sneaking out after the child falls asleep.
Mostly because he takes his task seriously…and falls into a deep sleep right next to the child.
Nonnie keeps asking him if he wants a haircut.
He says no.
I agree.
Not because it isn’t completely out of control.
But because when it has gel in it, he has the best hair in the world..next to McDreamy!
When Micah put out the challenge to walk across the top of a rail for “points”, Dash took on the challenge. Navy and Scout had already completed it in that order, but Dash had me nervous…or shall I say, King BooBoo had me nervous!
Well, there is light at the end of the tunnel…because a few times lately…when I was sure that Dash would biff it, he hasn’t. And I am proud to report, that King BooBoo dominated this rail!
