Look at these four bathing beauties.
Especially these two!!!
It was a morning of charades.
It was one of those games, where the kids do something, you make a million guesses that are never right, and then they come up with some cockamamie answer that you would have never guessed.
You know the game.
For example…
This is NOT a girl kissing her booboo.
This is NOT a supermodel.
This is NOT a girl cracking up.
And this is NOT a boy doing his “cute face”.
-
They were probably “I was a girl running away from a mouse who was bigger than a car, and was trying to feed me pizza!” Or, “I am a boy who is invisible, but am doing a headstand in front of you.”
-
You get the game!
I don’t know what I like better.
The sister who is hanging on the other sister’s back, because she adores her.
Or the sister who is letting her little sister hang all over her back, despite a sunburn, because she adores her.
I can’t believe that it was Pippi and Goldi playing together today. It is ALWAYS Pippi and Sturdy. Maybe Pippi is trying to get in good with Goldi, so she can marry Sturdy. Or maybe they actually do get along!
I hope it’s the latter.
Just a quick stop off at I Love Bagels for the Junior Guards today.
I love to see this little gang of friends interact…honestly, I think these five are friends for life.
Pippi loves writing her journal entries. She actually traces them this year, but she loves doing her “homework”.
I love to hear the things she wants to write, (My mom makes me do EVERY job) (She loves Nonnie’s cute eyeballs)and I love to see her excitement when I give her the day’s subject!
Keep writing my cute girl….your enthusiasm is to die for.
When I was asked where the hammer was, I got happy. I love my kids when they are creating! And when I saw their fully working homemade skis…I was all for it. They took apart a bench we were throwing away, and made skis out of the bench seat. They connected old tennis shoes to the wood, and they took them to Dr. Thein’s hill. They skied for a few hours…and when I finally called them back in, they begged for another hour!!! I gave them 20 minutes!
It’s that time again…Junior Guards 2018!
They are sunblocked up, have their bags filled with seeds, food and water.
And we are on our way…
Lucky for us, we have good buddies with us again this year!!!
Even luckier for us…even more good buddies are joining us!
This is going to be awesome!
It was!!!
It was awesome…and the kids said it might be their best year yet!
I bet it will be.
Same robe, same game, different people, different day.
Monopoly is a must do when you are young, and have nothing but time.
An afternoon at the beach is not always my favorite….maybe my dislike for sandy toes, salt water, beating sunshine, and sunblock are the culprits.
Regardless of my dislikes…I adore my children, and their cousins and friends.
So today at the beach was good.
Seaweed jump rope was a hit.
Popsicles courtesy of Britni were a hit.
Cousin wave jumping with Rose was a hit.
And stooge play was a hit.
All in all….Strands today was a hit!
