Micah is no match when it comes to four wrestling kids up against him!
Too bad Dad!
When I walked in to see Scout and Navy playing with the cootie catchers they made, a rush of nostalgia ran through me. I swear that you could have taken the identical picture of Seth and I, when we were their age.
I met this kid’s english teacher for the first time. She told me the following story:
“Today in class, the kids were put into small groups. They had to elect one person from their group to be the math representative. Scout’s group chose Scout without hesitation, so he came up to the board. I asked a really hard question, and asked the kids to estimate the answer. Out of all of the kids, Scout was the only one who got the answer. But unfortunately, he got it wrong, because he gave me the exact answer — instead of an estimation. To be honest, I made it hard enough that I didn’t think the kids would be able to get close. But I figured they could maybe estimate one. So even though he got it wrong, I pulled him aside before recess and told him that he did a great job.”
Nice work my little sassy-pants brainiac.
Just two best cousins at the sidelines of Scout’s football game.
When I picked Dash up from preschool, he could hardly wait to get something for me out of his bag. And then he pulled out this masterpiece, and told me, “I painted a heart for you”.
And then I melted.
This morning, both of the littles were taken with their current favorites.
Dash played for hours with his car collection. He made tracks, line ups, and garages for them.
And Pippi strapped on her high heels to walk a bit, and then she took them off, only to put them right back on.
Dash loves school!
He wakes up every morning asking if it is a school day.
He was particularly excited when I told him that today was not only school…but a field trip to the farm!
He loved every second of it.
And so did the Pips who got to tag along.
The Painted Ninja struck again.
This time it was blue marker that she couldn’t keep her hands off of.
A cute picture on the front….
…with a telling apology on the back.
Dash told me he got ready for the day.
I told him to go look in a mirror.
