The Painted Ninja struck again.
This time it was with my mom’s permanent lipstick.
Good thing Scout saw her before she tracked it through the house, and woke me up with “MOM!!! Pippi got into something. And this time it’s bad!”
So I hopped up faster than I knew was possible, and got her cleaned up and into the bath.
I guess cleaning messes for days will improve my speed like that!
While we were at Scout’s football game, Dash took a digger off of the stands.
So when he had a good supply of blood oozing, I grabbed the only thing I had that was close to a wipe or tissue.
A size 3 diaper.
At least it was unused.
Pippi found this newborn hat in the house, and wore it all afternoon.
She was loving it, and the attention it got her.
I loved it too, because when I was looking for the “little girl in a hat” at Costco, someone knew just who I was talking about.
Carruthy had his work cut out for him today.
Because I don’t go in often, I made a laundry list of questions to ask him — which he answered all patiently!
You know why?
Because Carruthy is the best!
Both kids were really good while getting all checked out.
I am sure Dash’s good example set Pippi up for success.
Both kids are doing great.
In fact, Pippi has even had a growth spurt.
Her height is right above average — it’s her weight that hasn’t caught up quite yet.

Then it was shot time.
—
My older two are little troopers in this department, so I was blown away to see my younger two being wimpy.
But no worries…
I held them down nicely.
Here are the post-shot tears to prove it!
This may look harmless.
But it’s not.
This girl is out of control!!!
Our HOA finally decided to make some needed street repairs — 2 years later!
That being said, it made for a good hour of entertainment for Dash and the Pips.
I gave them some snacks, strapped them in, and it was like they were at the movies.
In recent usual form, Pippi was making messes again today. This time, she found Micah’s toothpicks and matches, in the bathroom drawer. All I have to say, is that thank goodness I caught her early, because she was either going for the toothpaste next….or worse, she was going to strike one of those matches, and burn the joint down.
Surprisingly…..I mean SURPRISINGLY, Pippi was a really good patient.
That was, until the doctor left the room.
I think Micah might think this little girl is possessed at times. In reality, she is probably just like he was. (If I recall correctly, Micah’s mom said she always wanted three kids, but then she got Micah, and settled on the idea of two.) That being said, this girl is silent but deadly — always making messes, and always causing trouble. But these are the terrible twos.
Regardless of the nonsense she is always up to….I am obsessed with this little girl. She is sweet, and petit, and self-contained. Her spider monkey hugs, where she wraps her whole body around me, are to die for. And her “I Yuv You” kills me! She is awesome. And we are all lucky to have her!
This looks pretty harmless…right?
Wrong.
The Painted Ninja struck again.
It was the mascara wand that did the damage this time.
