While working out, Micah remembered something he meant to talk to Scout about — his weapon making!
Yeah…screws in the end of bullets that fly out of a nerf gun are NOT okay.
He reluctantly agreed.
Why the sour face?
Apparently, when I was making Navy’s lunch, I thought I had put a pear in it. Not sure how the mix up happened (although it still had the produce bag around it) — but it was actually a lemon.
When she was trying to be annoyed at me, I said…”You know what they say Navy…when life gives you lemons…”
Then she said…”They don’t say to eat it for lunch!”
All four in a queen-sized bed.
I am not sure about the comfort lever here…but the love level is high!
After a week in New York, I couldn’t think of a better night, than puzzling and watching the kids Dance Dance Revolution, with a fire crackling underneath a perfectly trimmed Christmas mantle.
While I was in NYC, there was a ward party that was apparently very amazing. Micah took the kids, and I heard it was pretty great. But then I got these two texts from some good friends — where both raved about Scout’s hard work setting up and taking down!
There is NOTHING that could make me happier when I am away — than a text like this!
Our Elf on the Shelf has been gone for two years! So when I got home from New York, to see Krispy “hiding”…I was a little perplexed. Until I realized that his “skateboarding accident” was camouflaging an accident of another kind!
Crafty Krispy.
Or is it Crafty dad!
(Apparently Dash slid and bonked his knee right through our wall the day before we got home! WHOOPS!)
We have had a sister’s trip to New York on the books for a year — ever since our last year’s back east sister’s trip!
The day has come…
And like usual — Nonnie made it especially fun!
She always makes things especially fun!
Beyond shopping until dropping (Bloomingdales for 36 hours), the Rockettes, Rockefeller Center’s Christmas Tree, and yummy food — we had the best time!
Honestly — there is no doubt that this should be an annual trip!
At least the sisters think so!
Nonnie says it might put her in the poor house!
I love how my kids will constantly say for me to buy little treats for their teachers. We usually just get little things — like this hot chocolate melting snowman — that was around $2…but the teachers love the treats, and the kids LOVE to give them!
Our friends, The Packers do the greatest live nativity, where our kid are all in it. This year, Navy was an angel, Dash and Pippi were little manger animals, and Scout was asked to be Joseph. He is getting a bit older — and all of his friends were “too cool” to be in the show…but Scout was rad, and happily accepted.
But I secretly wonder if Henley Packer, who was Mary…had anything to do with his saying yes! If I could hand pick a girl for Scout to marry in the future — it would be Henley! Regardless of the reason — I loved the live nativity — and we love the Packers!
After I finished the laundry — my mom asked if I had folded a pair of jeans she threw into the basket. I told her I wasn’t sure. She looked through every pile, but found nothing. It was all a great mystery, until Scout walked in a few minutes later in extra tight jeans! We all started laughing so hard! He said, “I thought they really shrank up in the wash!”
