While Navy and Scout work on their Saturday morning chores, these two cruise around and make mess after mess.
But who cares….we’ve got Scout and Navy to clean up!
Saturday Morning Buds
Trapezing For Micah’s Birthday
I am a sucker for throwing a great birthday party.
And of all the parties I have thrown, this may be the best yet!
We won a trapeze session for ten at Scout’s silent auction last year, and I decided to use it towards Micah’s birthday party.
It was the Tacky’s, Barbers, Hemeons, Bullochs and the Fischers.
We all headed up in the white 12-passenger van I rented.
When we got there, there was a practice session — where I took a big spill, and the it was on to the real deal.
Our first attempt was swinging with a dismount.
Second - swing, and then back flip dismount.
Third - swing, hang upside down, back flip dismount.
Fourth — and only Micah was invited to try it…
Swing, hang upside down, arch and reach, grab onto instructors hands, let go, and dismount.
Impossible…right?
Except for the birthday boy who nailed it!
So all of the girls gathered around for a pic with the star!
Dress Rehearsal Crashing
When we heard Ka was over at the high school, for the half time show’s dress rehearsal…we went a crashing.
As soon as we got there, they ran out onto the field to see who we thought was Ka.
Unfortunately they are fast runners because we were wrong.
So then we went to the bleachers and watched what we were going to miss the next night.
Ka, and her fellow Juniors, in all of their glory!
Down the Stairs
This girl cruises all day long.
She goes up and down like it is her job.
And if her job had a title…it would be “constant shadow”.
Because if I am upstairs….she cruises upstairs.
And if I am downstairs….she cruises downstairs.
A Quick Study
Pippi was in the phase where she would grab her bow and pull it down. I would immediately respond with, “NO NO!” And so then she would grab it and put it back up. It was pretty cute.
But things have turned even cuter…
Now, she pulls it down. And without me even looking or knowing, she puts it right back up.
So this day, as we went to pick Navy up at school, I turned around to see her bow on improperly…knowing exactly what she had done!

Crazy Missy
I headed over to help Missy merchandise.
When she told me to bring the kids, I thought she was crazy.
But when she gave the kids the fixin’s to make homemade silly putty….
…I knew she was crazy!
Sleeping Pips
This girl falls asleep quite nicely in her front facer.
And would you take a look at those lips and lashes!
Teething Pippi
This always-on-the-go girl has been a little more snuggly lately.
She has her two bottom teeth, her front left, and is working on quite a few others.
Wrestling Teacher
As much as I love to see the sheer happiness across my boy’s faces, what I really love about this wrestling match is that Scout asked Dash if he wanted to learn some wrestling moves.
And like a good big brother should, he talked him through things, and helped Dash know good moves on his end.
It was one of those perfect moments.
Dash In Costume
Our costume has been raided a lot lately.
Mostly, by Dash.
Some get-ups are rough and tough and manly.
Others are the opposite.
