If there was a contest, where you sent in a picture of what Christmas looks like to you — I would send in this photo, of my dad reading Pippi her baby book next to the roaring fire. The stocking are all hung with great care next to them, the Christmas cards are on the wall behind them, and Pippi is whispering her greatest wishes into Santa’s ear.
But then again – Christmas hymns at church where a 12-eayr-old has his arm around his Nonnie could be a close second.
