In the famous words of Frankie Valli…”Oh What A Day!”
This one was a doosie.
Let’s start off with the most perfect little sick human on this earth.  My little Pippi started off this morning with the flu.  She was warm to the touch, and complained of her tummy.  I made her the famous sick bed (blankets covering everything, television on, and a bowl next to the sick child), and she got all settled in.  I kind of told her what to expect, and what to do if her tummy got really bad — hold the bowl underneath her while she threw up.
Moments later, she was getting up to grab the bowl.

I guided her through her first rodeo…and she nailed it.
She made NO mess, and was very calm through the ordeal.
Nice.

Then she slept.

Then she begged for something to drink or a Popsicle.

Then she threw up.
Now play repeat 45 times!
AT LEAST!!!
My little Pippi threw up, more than I have ever seen anyone throw up!  Part of it was because she didn’t understand why she shouldn’t drink when she was thirsty.  I told her it might make her tummy upset again, but she decided to take the risk every time.
Now comes the “exquisite” part…
Pippi DID NOT MISS her bowl even one time!!!  And when she needed to run to the toilet with diarrhea, she never missed the toilet either! If I happened to be somewhere else when she felt sick, she held her own hair back, threw up, and then called for me to get the bowl — for washing.  It was literally amazing!  I’ve never seen a three year old so poised and on the ball!  She has mastered the art of being sick!
After hours and hours of her feeling awful, I asked her if she wanted to take a drive.  (My dad would take me on drives when I felt sick…and I always liked getting out.)  She definitely did, so I grabbed her, her Byew (BYU Blanket), and of course…her bowl.

We drove around for about 20 minutes.  We looked at the beach, pretty trees, and lots of flowers.  Meanwhile, little miss Exquisite threw up twice in the car.  Without skipping a beat, she did it perfectly in her bowl.  Afterwards, I pulled over and dumped the mess, then poured water into the bowl to swish it around, then passed her back her bowl.  (Barely in time for her next mess.)
This had been a long day for my little girl.  And it was a bit lengthy for me too.  I was excited for this day to draw to a close, for a new and improved day.
And that is when I got the call..

Dash split his chin open, while sliding down the railing at Grandma’s pool.
And now I am moving on from throw up, to stitches.
