We saw the Ferris Wheel go up, and we knew it was going to be a good weekend!

We invited the Nichols, Seastrands, and Thackers over to hang in the cul-de-sac, then head to the fair, and finish up the night with swimming.
It was a really fun day with only one hiccup.
But that hiccup was major.
Scout watched every minute of the festivities from his window.  He got in major trouble last night, and got grounded.  Good thing I have Micah to back me, because I may have had him miss part of the day, but get to come out later.  But Micah said this is how they learn, and told Scout his punishment stands.  It killed me, but I agreed with Micah completely.
Micah and I were both amazed at what a good attitude Scout had during his punishment.  He didn’t complain, or whine.  He just watched from his window and yelled things out every once in a while, like “good job on that jump Dash” or “Pippi is in the street”.

Micah finally allowed him to come down for dinner, but it was only adults inside while the kids swam.  He watched, ate really slowly, and then happily went right back to his room.
