Computer Dismantel

I remember when I was little, Seth and I would take things apart — like an alarm clock, or a walkman.
So when Micah was going to trash these two computers, I told him we should let the kids take them apart, and they could understand the workings of a computer a little bit better.

He made it so fun for them.
He gave them a mini lesson on the insides, and then let them go to town with their own tools.

I’d take these activities over almost anything else!

This little girl sure likes this little boy.
And vice versa.

Solo Trip

My kids earned a treat each to the Dollar Store.  When getting there, Scout begged to go in by himself with the others.  Since I turned to see Pippi sound asleep, I reluctantly agreed.
The rules were:
they stay together
no candy
one thing per person
-
According to the pictures I took, from my car parked parallel to the window so I could see every move they made, I should have added “must wear shoes” to the rule list.
Some things I thought were obvious.
-
I could see the guy checking them out questioning them as to where their mother was, and they pointed at me, and I waved to him.  He was cool and smiled with a thumbs up.
-
And when they came out?
To my dismay….they each had something slimey.
I HATE SLIMEY - and they all know it.
It ruins walls and ceilings and car carpet.
But like Scout said with a smirk on his face, “Mom…we followed the rules exactly!”

Dash Drives

Every once in a while, Micah lets the kids “drive” home from the gate.  This day, Dash drove, and parked right up on our grass.  The kids think it is hilarious that they get to drive, and that Micah just parks it where they leave it.  When the rest of us pulled up in my car, Scout and Navy were freaking out about the parking job, and cracking up that Dash couldn’t even get it into the driveway!

Smitten

Pippi’s most commonly used word is “DADADADADA”.
She is pretty in to him.
But the feeling is mutual.
“The very best part of my day is when Pippi gets up in my arms, and lays her head down on me for one second.” - Micah
(And the one second time frame isn’t a casual reference to time….it is literally one second before she comes up with the next thing she wants to do.)
Sidenote: This picture is from when we were at the mall, and she said “DADADADA”, and he carried her the whole time we were there — pretty cute.

Just a 6 year old in hog heaven while she Easy Bakes.

Pirates

Just a Sunday afternoon of these two playing Pirates.
Here they are, protecting their fortress from the evilest pirate of them all—-Scout.

Seth the Coach

Seth and Cade are such good friends to Scout and Navy.
They help them in any ways they can.
And today, Seth was particularly helpful at Scout’s game as the self-appointed assistant coach.

Here he is on the bench with the team.

Then Casanova was waiting under Scout’s basket to give him direction.

And naturally, Coach Seth would attend Scout’s play date he had with two of his teammates.

Skills

Guess who has figured out how to get her sleepcoat and diaper off?
Good thing that same person had a decent bladder this morning, and didn’t screw up every stuffed animal and blanket in the joint.

Pooped at Kids Club

When I went in to Kids Club to pick up my kids, Ms. Rose was shushing me.  I wasn’t sure why.  It was an empty room with only my two kids.

And then I got a better look…
You see that red and white striped bump….well, it isn’t a permanent fixture.

It is just one really tired girl who was sound asleep.
-
Update: that tired girl turned out to be a girl who wasn’t feeling well.  I did think my hour work out wasn’t long enough for her to tire herself out!
