We got box seats for the Harlem Globe Trotters.
Being honest, it is a bit anticlimactic when I thought it would be a blast.
But it is one of those things that I think the kids liked, and I have checked off of my bucket list…..and will never let it creep back onto that list for a second time.
All of Navy’s dreams came true on her field trip to the farm!
I was working on my computer for a few minutes, when I looked out to see the sweetest scene.
Dash was playing with his Valentine treat — his Bubble Bear.
And then his sister came out, and he was so sweet with her as I watched.
He blew bubbles for her.
Then let her give it a go.
And then they spotted me capturing the moment.
And made the moment even sweeter.
Scout’s special date was this morning.
We had the best time, and I love that he is a bit older because there are way more things to do.
So we pumped up our tires, and took off to Bagels for breakfast, where Scout responsibly locked up both of our bikes with the new lock he got for Christmas.
After breakfast, we went to Micah’s old neighborhood park with a bat and ball we bought at CVS.
We played catch, and got our world record for not dropping any balls — 34.
And then we set up bases, and played baseball against each other for about 30 minutes.
We had so much fun.
Then we rode to Daddy’s old house, and sent him this picture.
And finally, we rode to the garden to see what shape it was in before heading home.
It was one of the funnest mornings I have had in a long time.
Clearly, my quick picture before church didn’t pan out the way I wanted it to.
But it does capture their personalities perfectly.
Teething Pippi is sour.
Navy is posing.
Scout is goofing off.
Dash is disobeying (no scooter rule).

Well, there you have it….my four little angels.
Since we are in the middle of a long weekend, Micah came up with a really fun adventure. After Saturday chores, which took unusually long, we headed to what I think was called O’Neill Park. It was everything kids would love. Climbing trees, a park, walking/running paths, insects, and exploring for days.
Don’t let the pictures fool you.
Our kids were nothing short of horrid!
They complained, whined, cried, embarrassed us, and tantrumed it up.
I think we cut our 4 hours down to 1 hour and got out of dodge!
This might look like a serene picture, but really….Micah was sitting and holding a tantruming Pips, while talking to Scout about why you don’t run off like a baby and hide in the bathroom because you don’t get your way.
Shoot me now!!!
This Valentine’s Day, there was love all over the place.
Dash spread some via Facetime to Bella.
Nonnie scored on a “Navy Special”.
And a phonetic speller hit it out of the park with this little love note.
“Iy Love My Famle”
I love my “Famle” too.
Navy and I chose manicures for our special date.
But first, we stopped at I Love Bagels, for some bagel sandwiches that we love.
And followed it up with a trip to The Wee Loft where we picked out little Valentine treats for everyone…which she LOVED doing.
And we finalized our date with a stop off at Yogurtland.

She was so fun to be with, and we had a blast.
We decided that we need to get our nails done way more often, and that I Love Bagels has the best bagel sandwiches on earth!
We were supposed to be out of town for the long weekend, but plans changed.
So I decided that while we had extra time, I was going to take each kid on a special date.
Dash was first.
Dash and I started at Good Choice sushi, and then we decided to go to Dana Hills and see Nate play in his final basketball game.
We obviously dressed in blue, and cheered really loudly.
Dash got to pick a treat, and Ka was there to visit us at half time.
After the game, he trumped everyone and ran to give Nate his first hug.
Then Dash and I walked around the school, so I could show him what lockers are, where kids ate, and of course…where Daddy had his name on the wall.

It is funny that I always think special dates are me treating the kids.
But I think I am the one who really gets the treat with this one on one time.
We had the best time.
And Dash was the perfect date. He got my door each time, he “payed” for dinner with my credit card, he and I talked about the moon in the car, and for one teeny tiny night, it was just the two of us.
I bet you can’t guess which box is Navy’s.
(Scout’s was exactly the same in his class.)
Hint: “One of these things is not like the other”.
Hint#2: The kids had the best idea when they were taking apart some computers a few days back.
