Just a little fun in the back seat while we wait for Scout to get out of school.
Apparently she found some tape, and went to town.
Good thing she didn’t cover her mouth because I love picking this girl up from school and hearing every single detail of her (and all of her friend’s) day.
Each morning after the big kids leave to school, these two play and play with each other.
Some days they play magnet maker/magnet destroyer.
Other days Fort maker/fort destroyer.
On this day, they were able to play with something that Pippi just can’t destroy.
And to be honest, the playing went a bit smoother this morning.
This girl can hold her own at home…no problem.
But the big accomplishment today….this girl can hold her own at the mall playground…no problem.
When I sent Scout off to his bed tonight, I heard him walk in, and then scream.
When I went to see what the problem was, he recreated the scene.
“I was walking in to go to bed, and then saw Navy in my bed.”
“So I pulled down the covers to kick her out, and look what I saw..”
“Her freaky doll she puts make up on!”
And this was his “reaction”.

The best part….Navy giggling from under her bed.
I have been getting a lot of notes lately.
These two are some of my favorites:
“Sorry mom for being Sassy to you. Love Navy, Love Navy…heart heart heart heart.”
“Thanks Mom for being a good mom and for making us have fun every day. You are such a great mom to us and we know you work hard every day. You are the best mom. Form Scout. To Mom.”
(This was after a Family Night on being grateful.)
Navy created this sweet “bowling set” out of all of our clean plastic cups.
I am always amazed at her attention to detail, and her love of organizing….and I feel like both were represented here.
Her bowling rock took out about six cups.
But do you see that stick in the bottom right corner of the pic?
Scout’s stick took out all of the rest of the cups.
Then there were hurt feelings and a little reprimanding.
I think one of the luxuries of little boys is that they can go potty in the bushes if needs be.
Unfortunately, Dash has not gotten the message that potty and Poop aren’t the same thing.
See what I mean.
You would think that I would have one clean eater besides Scout.
But I have just come to realize that Pippi can hang with Navy and Dash — the two messiest eaters around.
And her latest favorite….mini wheats.
And when she is done with her food, she climbs on top of her high chair to scream at me until I get her down.
An Email exchange I recently had with Ms. Lee, Scout’s teacher.
Ms. Lee: “Something interesting (hopefully you would also find it to be interesting) : at times Scout would not have a snack. He would problem solve. He would walk over to his sister’s backpack and help himself to a snack. I didn’t catch him the first time, but I did the second time.”
Me: “I DO find that interesting! What a weasel….and I will talk to him. And if you ever see that, please inform him he isn’t allowed to do that.”

A. No wonder Navy has complained of me packing her too lite of a lunch.
B. Ms. Lee….”problem solve”….you give him too much credit.
C. For the record….that kid always has a snack!
D. No, I don’t find it interesting. I find it annoying!
You know why I like Christian so much?
Because as much as my kids were loving the Jeep ride with their cousin, he was loving it just as much!
That Christian is making some really fun cousin memories with my littles.
