Primary Practice

My mom was in charge of the primary program for the first time in the new ward.
So during her dress rehearsal, she wanted to get it right, so put me in the pews with the kids to keep them on point and quiet.
Which meant that Skylar was in charge of Pippi.
All I know is that I saw Pippi in the arms of about six different people as Skylar flirted with her buddy Nate.
And when I got my phone back, this is what I saw….

Skylar “taking a picture of Nonnie conducting” AKA her boy toy Nate.

And a picture of Pippi cruising around unattended.

Halloween Homework

Just two guys creating a spooky haunted house — full of adjectives and nouns — for homework.

Pippi Loves…

Pippi loves anyone who plays with her.

Which puts Seth close to the top of her list when he is in town.
-
But nobody supersedes the other guy Seth brings into town.
The guy who oohs and aahs over her like crazy.
The guy who doesn’t let anyone else touch her because she is his.
The guy who will cruise with her in the wagon or stroller for as long as the Pips wants.

Which guy is that?

Good ol’ Christain.

Dash’s Dumping

img_0130-2014-10-12-at-19-26-42.jpg
This is the third time Dash has dumped out all of the Legos.  The first two times, I asked if everyone would help clean them up because he is young, and there are a LOT of Legos.  They obliged.  But as they dumed out this time, and the big kids started helping, I quickly relieved them of their helping hands.  I told Dash that the third time is a charm, and that he was going to clean up his mess ALL BY HIMSELF.
I kid you not…..it took an entire afternoon….possibly four hours….but Dash picked up every single one of those spilled Legos.
And upon completion, Dash announced, “I cweaned up all dose Wegos all by myself.  And I not ever gunna do dat again!  Never….NEVER….NEVER EVER!”

Vail Lake Ragnar

I may have been included in the Ragnar Trail Run as the “in case someone else is hurt” runner.
I may have been totally freaked out when I saw what the “trails” involved.
I may have been called upon once - out of necessity, and once more out of - out of “you will be bummed if you don’t run at least two legs”!
I may have ran 4.9 & 3.5 miles along the ridge line of the above picture — and yes, we started at ground level.
I may have been glad I took part.

Tacky Afternoon

Since our school is so close to the Tackys, there are random days we stop by, and don’t leave until it’s dark.
This was one of those days….
img_4264-2014-10-09-at-17-45-31.jpg
It was a long afternoon with the Tackys, Bullochs, Packers and Hemeons in the back of the new Ford.
img_4272-2014-10-09-at-20-02-23.jpg
And then Scummy and I took our crazies to IHOP for dinner.
img_4275-2014-10-09-at-20-21-24.jpg
And by the time we headed home, everyone was wiped….but none more than the little pumpkin who has maybe never seen so much action in one day!

Floor Bed

After these two are put to bed, I never know what I am going to find when I go back to kiss them while they sleep.
This night, I found one of their famous “floor beds”.
And how Pippi’s duck - that was in her bed when I put her to sleep - ended up in there, I will never know.

Disaster Dash

This kid wanted me to check out his “new necklace”.
I told him to put that necklace back under the couch before it got broken.

Scout was all too excited to show me that I did too little, too late.

The New Big Red Ball

img_5752-2014-10-07-at-14-57-20.jpg
To my mother’s dismay, guess what old-time favorite toy has made another appearance.
I am SO excited!
I’ve always loved the big red ball.
Entertainment for hours.
Fits all four kids, and then some.
Sparks imagination.
And the best thing of all……
Easy clean up!

Rapid Teething

img_5745-2014-10-07-at-09-01-26.jpg
Pippi is working on her 6th tooth in one month.
She went from nothing to five and a half.
The poor little thing.
And to be honest, she hasn’t been that bad of a teether.
I don’t think I have given her any medicine, because her drug of choice is my arms.
img_5749-2014-10-07-at-14-15-33.jpg
And when my arms are full, she happily takes Navy’s arms.
