The Little Emporer and her Sumo Wrestlers were off to a great night of chili and Trunk or Treating.
They gave each other a group hug, and were off.
When we got there, we were dying over how Navy folded her arms for the blessing on the food.
Once they ate, and showed off their costumes, they were off for about ten rounds of candy gathering.

The Aftermath
Dash immediately dug in.
Navy got out her loot and started sorting out every piece into its correct pile.
Crazy-haired Scout, opened his bag that was the fullest, and said, “I got SO much candy….who wants it?” And didn’t eat even one piece.
And the destroyer, she just went around and bossed everyone around in her yells, and got a good little stash she called her own.
When I asked Dash if he had brought food out of the kitchen, he immediately shoved it all into his mouth and mumbled, “it is all in my mouth”.
After I explained that I found crumbs on the stairs, he accepted his fate.
Ten good-form push ups.
Just wanted the world to know that our costumes for the 2014 Halloween season have arrived.
And the kids could not be more excited!
In case I ever have to make a list of nice things I do for my husband, I just want to write down that occasionally I deliver homemade, hot food to him for lunch. This day it was a Green Carnitas omelet. It may sound sketchy, but in reality….it is delish.
For the record….
two things this boy has been doing lately.
#1. Every time I have the camera out for a picture, he cocks his head to one side, smiles, and through gritted teeth says “cheeese”.
#2. You have to love the kid translation on every day words. This boy’s latest was when he was referring to his belly button as his “Belly Bumpkin”. So in our household at the moment, we all have belly bumpkins in the middle of our tummies.
Just a little evening Chinese homework from a Japanese boy.
Navy is the sweetest.
I always know she had a good idea pop into her head as she runs off for supplies.
This day, it was an umbrella and a few snacks to have a picnic on the front lawn.
Lately, the second Dash hears the door chime as the kids leave for school, he wanders out of his own room.
Unfortunately, he gets out an hour earlier than he should be.
But we make do.
He always insists on his own lunch bag.
I tell him he has a deal if he goes on the big boy potty.
Then he tantrums it up like a crazy person, because he doesn’t “have to go potty”!
(Mind you….he is jumping around like a Mexican jumping bean telling me otherwise.)
But after all of the craziness, he goes, he puts his underwear back on backwards, and then he gets his lunch.
Then he sneaks in to grab Nonnie’s black IPad.
He has the same obsession Scout did when he was this age.
And the fact that he can beat me at Temple Run is amazing and pathetic at the same time.
Then I tell him that the black IPad time is over, and he tantrums it up again.
But…
All of the irrational behavior goes by the wayside once he sees his Pips is up and ready to play with him.
My little flower picker was loving the flower-behind-the-ear look today.
And when I told her how cute she looked, she insisted that we match.
When we wait for Scout, Navy always asks if she can play with my hair.
Uuuh…yes please!
Check out these beauties my five year old created.
