Today Scout gave a talk on “Thanking God In All Things”.
This is what he said:

“Some of you might know my little brother Dash who is two years old.  He is really funny and really crazy, but do you know something else he is?

He is REALLY thankful!

Every single time someone gives him something, he always says “Tee Too?.  Every day I hear, “Tee too…tee too…tee too.?

For those of you who don’t have a two year old at your house, that means, “Thank you? in their language.

He thanks me for helping him out of his bed, or giving him a bite of what I am eating, or letting him ride my scooter.

Just the other day, we were playing Lego’s together, and every time I gave him a piece, he told me “Tee Too?.

You know how that made me feel?  Really good!  Like I wanted to keep giving him more and more pieces.

Do you know that in the Doctrine and Covenants, there is a scripture that says, “Thou shalt thank the Lord thy God in all things??

And that kind of makes sense.

If my little brother makes me feel really good when he says “Tee Too?, I bet it makes our Heavenly Father feel awesome when we thank Him.  And just like I kept wanting to give Dash more Lego’s, I bet Heavenly Father wants to keep giving us more and more blessings.

So each night when I say my prayers, I am trying to remember to thank my Heavenly Father for everything He does for me.

Especially for giving me a little brother who sets a great example by always saying “Tee Too?.”

Of course it was memorized, and of course he gave it with pizzazz!
