I am really good at a lot of things.  But organization isn’t one of them.  It literally goes against who I am.  I try, and have gotten better, but how can I be a fly by the seat of my pants kind of gal AND be organized at the same time?
So when it came time for our elf to be out each Christmas, by about day 7 I would forget the routine regularly.  So this year, I came up with a much better idea….
Krispy has been one of Santa’s top elves for years and years.  We have been on the waiting list to get him, and his family is finally grown.  SO I sat Scout and Nay down to really find out their thoughts on getting a new elf.  But I told them, there was good and bad that came with Krispy.  First of all, he was such a good elf, that he only had to be at our house for 10 days total.  Second, he was not lenient — and the good were rewarded, and the bad got Christmas taken away.  Because he was a pretty stinky elf (which is why he is such a good read on the stinky children), we would find him each morning doing some pretty silly things.  And just to really sweeten the deal, Krispy is best friends with the top toy makers in the North Pole, and his kids got the very best Christmases.
They were sold.

Krispy brought a note to the kids, and some of Mrs. Claus’s famous donuts.

Scout was all over the new guy in town!  He noticed the snow on his clothes, that he was smart enough to take his hat off before he hung upside down, and that he had teeny tiny writing.
It should be a good month — or should it???
