When Scout heard that Papa was a former TBall coach, he wanted to go get a little coaching from him.
So he got his bag all ready, and sat on the bench. But as soon as he heard Papa’s car around the corner, he popped up and was ready to go.
He was so excited he got to sit in the front — but only because they were heading to the park in our neighborhood.
Here’s Papa giving Scout a few tips before they take off.

When Scout came home, he kept saying that Papa used to be a coach, and he was really good.
When Papa came home, he said that Scout wasn’t that into hitting the ball, but loved the outfield part of it. And he also said that Scout is really good at listening to directions which is really good from a coaching standpoint.
