Starting Fires

Scout ran to the car this afternoon during pick up and grabbed something out.  When I finally realized he had grabbed a magnifying glass to start a parking lot fire, I scolded him and made him put it out.  I mean — we are already heathens at Bergeson…all we need is a fire started by us!
Stinking Scout.
But kind of rad that he knows how to start a fire with a spy tool.

Cindy LooWho Hair

img_7098-2018-01-11-at-10-03-40.jpg
Pippi came out of her bedroom this morning demanding I fix her hair like Cindy Loo Who.  I tried, and according to her I failed over and over.  Then she brought me a plastic cup, and explained how her hair needed to go through it and get wrapped around it, for the proper results she was looking for.
WHOA!
Talk about picky!
I finally “got it right”, and she was very pleased with her hair do for the day.
Although her expression still seems a bit annoyed towards me!

The Sweetest Prayer

Pippi’s prayer tonight was the sweetest.  At the end of talking about loving all of her siblings, and asking for help for Bryan and Papa, she said, “I weally, weally love everyone.  Please tell them that I am never going to give up my heart for them.”
If that doesn’t melt you….then you are made of stone!

Spaghetti

Dash’s favorite order at Beach Harbor Pizza is spaghetti.  I order it, based on two things.  Is he hungry enough to eat it all?  And is he willing to take his shirt off to eat it?
I usually get a yes and yes…and that little boy chows down.
All while watching the Disney Channel that Mario puts on the second my kids walk into his restaurant!

Pippi’s Wednesdays

Wednesdays are big days for Pippi.

She goes from preschool to ballet.
Then she is my sidekick at tennis.
Then she is Mario’s best customer at Beach Harbor Pizza.
And then she has her best sleep of the whole week.
That’s a full day for a four year old.

Bracelets

Britni and I spent an afternoon making some cute bracelets for Pippi.
You will know which bracelets are mine, because they are the poorly made ones.
Britni’s are the meticulous, darling ones.
Good thing Pippi isn’t a respecter of persons.

Supercross

Immediately after we left Glamis, we drove to the Anaheim stadium for Supercross.  We were excited to go — especially after we were motorcycle riding.  But I will be honest, it was a bit of a bust — maybe because we were walking zombies!  I haven’t been to Supercross in years, and it has definitely changed over the years.  They used to have kid races and quad races.  But now….it is way more intense…and purely 2-wheel races.
We watched, and cheered…but were all excited to wrap it up by the end…and get home to our own beds for some much-needed sleep!

Glamis ‘18

I think one of the best places on earth is Glamis.
I also think one of the best places our family fits in is Glamis.
Constant action and expected filth work nicely for my little desert rats.

Navy was awesome at taking Pippi out for rides.

While the dads had a good ride.
-
Scout had a good crash while we were out there.
Navy was a pro on the quads.
Dash was always off with the stooges.
And Pippi…

Well, Pippi was with the quads getting reprimanded every few minutes.

Worker Bee

I brought out the clean load of rags and towels.
Then I ran upstairs to get the next load.
Upon my return, I saw that a little worker bee did my folding job.
Dash, my little helper…thanks for the help.
You are rad.

LICE!

img_6973-2018-01-02-at-11-40-07.jpg
Happy New Year.
We rung in the New year with some good old fashioned lice treatments.
We believe that Dash was the culprit who brought it into the home.
And then upon close inspection, Navy and Pippi had some trace evidence.

Scout — my kid with the fullest head of hair, seemed clean.

Regardless….each got their own treatment.
-
And right after Scout got his head of hair as clean as it has ever been….he allowed Pippi to do her own treatment.

A makeup treatment!
