These Two
Are legitimately best friends.
While I got rooms cleaned and organized, Micah took all four kids to DOHO to camp for a few nights — with the coaches and Cobbs. To say the kids love it is the biggest understatement. The kids are like the leaders of the camp, and they have freedom like their mom would never give them.
Yep…they loved it.
See for yourself:
The camping fun ends with the fourth of July….and the Dana Point fireworks.
And the next morning…I deal with the grime and filth that has been plastered on for three days straight.
This came across on our family text:
Guess what Dash just said? Well, Navy told Scout that he had a crush on Sabine, and Dash said, “Well too bad…I already called dibs!”
Uh oh.
Tucked away in our European adventure, was our 14th anniversary.
Who knew time could pass so quickly.
And 14???
It seems like it should be our 30th!
Look what I caught these two doing, while they were supposed to be cleaning the kitchen.
Slackers!
But cute slackers when they are playing so cute with each other.
What do you do with a boy who is still jet lagged and wakes you up each morning at 4:30am?
You take him to fresh donuts…
And watch the sunrise, while dissecting every new cloud and color.
And the winner for the best traveler???
The girl who can sleep anywhere!
Our drive back to Barcelona was filled with Soldes stops, and Micah’s delicious meals.
When we got to the hotel, we commandeered the conference room to pack for home. Let’s just say that 30+ pairs of shoes needed to lose their boxes!
But after three hours…look at Micah and my masterpieces.
-
And fast forward almost 24 hours…
And we are finally home.
Home sweet home.
I have to be honest….Montpellier, France is an armpit.
But it did have two really good things…
The women’s World Cup game between China and Italy.
That was a total hit for Micah and the kids.
And it had a Gallerier LaFayette….for the first day of France’s Soldes.
And that….IS A REALLY GOOD THING!
I’d just like to point out two things that were great about Lyon…
My driving skills.
I had to parallel park…and get out of this spot.
Nailed it….even the passerby’s were impressed.
And yes….first try both times.
And a shout out to NafNaf….the store that made Micah fall in love with me all of those years ago, when I wore my NafNaf overalls.
