It is Pippi’s World, and we are all just living in it!
I was just a bystander as Pippi shopped.
And when people stopped to comment on her cuteness, she thanked them and pushed on.
She has everyone cow-towing to her every demand.
Even if it means sacrificing to give.
She spent an hour playing make believe with this dog statue “her baby” (that she isn’t supposed to touch), and can be seen here giving him Eskimo kisses.
And she usually ends her long mornings, with a little “I doing my work”.

She is literally to die for, but I need more sleep to catch up to this little one.
It is a miracle in the making…this is my third time at the beach this week!
I don’t like the beach, and the salt water/sand/sun that comes with it anymore than before.
But I do like that all four kids love it, and they are all pretty self contained and happy.
And the major perk is that they have tons of friends down their to hang out with.
Especially my Dash who is usually the kid without anyone his age.
I certainly have gained a greater tolerance, and my kids appreciate it.
But I am a major minimalist…only bringing down my chair, and anything that fits in the pockets — and Scout takes down the umbrella.
And when we are all done, we hike those forever stairs, and the kids take a golf cart ride back to the gates.
I might be in for this maybe once a week….but then again???
Dash told me that he can now peel and eat his own orange, and that now I can put them in his school lunch.
Will do.
My kids were still partially wet from the beach when we stopped at Harbor Pizza.
So Dash solved his own problem and got himself into the sun until their famous bread sticks with ranch showed up.
Thumbs up for day two of school!
The second school got out today — the first day of school, we went straight to the beach to hang on to a bit more summer.
And Christian created the cutest beached whale I have ever seen!
Say it ain’t so.
It is only August 15th, and we are back at it…the schedule, the homework, the driving…I am so depressed.
But here we are tackling it…
We were up at 6:30…a far cry from our summer wake-up time of 9:00.
The kids got dressed up in their first-day outfits, grabbed their backpacks full of supplies, got their teacher’s first day of school treat, and headed out for me to take pictures.
They were goofing off, but I was so glad to see them in good spirits for school.
We were dying that the sun was just rising over Ralph’s, when they were walking up to school.
Scout was SOOO excited to get Mrs. Fong!
Navy was excited to see her new seat with all of her new books.
I can’t believe that I have a 2nd and 4th grader!
And a Transitional Kindergartener!!!
He chose to match Ka’s BYU backpack.
This poor little guy was a bit nervous, and even had tears for a few minutes.
But his teacher is the nicest, so she eased his fears!

I can’t believe the year has begun. I can’t believe that we are going to school during the summer. I can’t believe a lot of things. I guess it is time for me to take a reality pill, and get with the program!
I had Navy and Rose out and about today, and it was a blast.
Before we left, I let them choose any recipe off of Pinterest that we would make later that day.
Then we headed out to run back-to-school errands, and get our ingredients.
We found out that Navy had Mrs. Mainprize, and she was excited to see that she has a classroom full of her friends!
Then we hit up Susie Cakes, Manga Benei for lunch, Target for a million supplies, and the grocery store.
We finished at the garden, where I watered while they went lizard hunting. Navy was so excited to find twins!
And we finally made it home, where they baked away, and both created their own delicious pan of frosted brownies!
And the verdict after everyone ate them, was that they were delicious!
Seth and Cade have been gone all summer long. We start school in a few days, and this is the first we have seen of them, and they are so nice, that they came bearing gifts! ANd the best gift, was this poncho that Cade brought Pippi. She loves it, and hasn’t taken it off since she got it!
How cute is Dash on the carousel!
Grandma took him to the Irvine Spectrum for a date with Alexa, and they had fun.
Dash told me he picked the tiger, because it “was the meanest animal on it”!
It’s quite the juxtaposition to have the sweetest boy on the meanest animal!
