Hopefully this kid never has to hold up the peace sign, because those fingers will be taken.
All day, every day!
I love to see how wrong I get the weather when I drop my kids off at school. Quite often I take them in shorts and a t, when everyone else is bundled up in ski jackets. But today, I think I might have it kind of right — with Navy in a short-sleeved sweatshirt, and even Scout in a light sweatshirt.
But when I went to pick them up, they both said, “MMMOOOMMM! I was soooo hot today!”
So I guess I didn’t get it right.
But my question is…what do all of the other kids do when they get hot?
I guess they remove layers upon layers.
But unfortunately, I did away with layers about three years ago. One lost sweatshirt was all it took for me to realize that I’m never going through the lost and found again!
When B realized that the primary room wasn’t set up, she enlisted some great helpers.
Navy…awesome Navy pitched right in.
Pippi provided some artwork.
Dash was practicing being the reverence child.
And who are we missing?
Scout?
Yeah — who knows where Scout ended up.
I hope these two remain best friends forever.
I hope they stay in touch throughout their childhood, they room together in college, the live near each other when they are young mothers, and they grow old together while exchanging phone conversations on the daily.
Is that too wishful?
I love Santa Pics.
I especially love that Grandma gave my kids the cutest matching PJ’s for their Santa Pics this year!
My only concern this year, is will the excessive dabbing that goes on in our house, show up in the pictures?
Hopefully not.
This is to die for!
So far — so good.
I knew it.
I knew that at least Scout couldn’t contain himself!
Our group shot miraculously didn’t have dabbing in it.
Or did I speak too soon!
Now let the after-Santa-pics-shenanigans begin!
No matter what Pippi is wearing, she always tops off her outfit with a princess dress — or apron in this case.
I personally think she ruins her outfits, but when I tell her that, she says, “NO…I beautiful now.”
Well then…
Micah had his whole area set up to recover from his tonsillectomy, so Navy can’t provide much as the ultimate care taker. But some hours, she just goes in and hugs the man of her heart. And I am pretty sure that slight smile on Micah’s lips is the first we have seen in days.
It isn’t often, that you get this kind of loot at the end of a rainbow.
I’d say it’s our lucky day!
I bet you have never seen a boy who could bring a smile to your face at the beginning of each race.
Dash’s “starting position” totally helps him be a fast runner.
And we know he is a fast runner, because he is named “Dash”.
Obviously.
Just some post-black-Friday tired kids, listening to the words of a dedicated mom.
