If this isn’t Dash in a photo — I don’t know what is.
I guess this same photo of him in his unders would actually be a titch more authentic!
My kids love throwing a Kid’s Friendsgiving!
It was a hit, and a great turn out for Scout, Navy and Dash.
And Pippi’s four buddies all showed up, and were the waiter and waitresses for the evening.
We have great friends…and were so excited to celebrate them!
Pippi has recreated her Kindergarten classroom at home. Mrs. Tan has blue marbles, so Mrs. P has blue marbles. And all day….her students are earning or losing blue marbles. She reprimands them in Chinese and takes away marbles…and it is hilarious!
But most of the time, her students can earn back a bunch of marbles during P.E., where the kids need to “listen up better, and do the push ups perfectly!”
I’d recognize those dirty fingernails anywhere! Dash is getting really good at his Chinese Characters…especially when he zones out and sings at the top of his lungs while he writes them!
I give Scout such a hard time so often — that when his Honor Roll certificate comes (and it always does!), I remember what a great kid we have in Scout!
Nice work my handsome boy.
Reminiscent of Scout and Navy back in the day…Dash and Pippi are the cutest friends! It isn’t odd at all for me to walk in where Dash is Pippi’s student and taking orders, or Dash and Pippi are cracking at something together, or they join together on their chores. But of all the times when I see these two loving each other — my favorite is when they fall asleep cuddling together. Both are sucking their fingers, both have their blankets, and both found their happy spots!
Pippi sang her little heart out at her Thanksgiving performance. Too bad she is one of the taller girls in the class, because it put her on the back row, and I kept telling her to move over so I could see her better, and she kept talking back to me during the performance, and she was so frustrated by me…but it was hilarious.
After…there was a feast…
Pippi’s face says it all. She didn’t touch a thing on her plate — except the pumpkin bread. And even that “needed more flavor”! She is so snooty!!
Scout signed up to work in the Special Ed class “because it is an easy A” and he could do all of his homework during that period. Well, come to find out…it has turned into his favorite class each day. He loves all of the kids…but really, really loves Paul! So today, during the special Olympics that Scout was helping out at, I got to attend. AND…I got to meet the famous Paul! He is everything Scout has described. He is sweet, hilarious, happy, and I can see how they are really great friends. He is absolutely darling!
Before I knew Scout was there, he was cheering Paul on in Paul’s basketball game. Paul kept looking over and giving thumb’s up to Scout — it was rad.
After the game, Scout figured out a quick way to get Paul back to the group, because Paul likes to walk really slowly. Scout is a hustler and a shaker — I was so proud of Scout taking Paul under his wing. It reminds me of how Scout is with his younger siblings when he is being awesome.
Here is Scout’s crew of buddies that help in the class. They are a really nice bunch of kids — and I am so happy Scout is in that class! And the great news — he says he is DEFINITELY signing up for the class next year! (Navy, Dash and Pippi say they are signing up for the same class when they are in Junior High too!)
I was in the kitchen when I heard yelping from the other room. I sent Navy to check things out. She made me come — and see this! Dash was literally stuck in the washer while he was changing the laundry over for me! We were laughing so hard — and he was too, until he finally screamed for some real help!
I had some jobs for the kids today. They were fighting over which job they got. They couldn’t figure out a fair way to choose…so I gave them the puzzle challenge. First kid done, picked first job.
Pippi finished quickly — maybe too quickly — with her 24 piece puzzle.
Navy and Dash duked it out with their 100 piecers.
It came down to a few pieces…and they were intense!
In a HUGE upset to the all-time greatest puzzle master…Navy defeated Dash!
