Potty Time?

img_1247-2014-01-16-at-11-58-04.jpg
I am not forcing the potty training issue with Dash, but I have been putting in Elmo’s Potty Time to put a little ant in his pants.
After he watched it through the other day, I asked, “Dash, are you ready to go on the big boy potty?”
To which he responded, “No, Elmo alweady did dat.”
I told him that he could do it also — just like Douty and Sissy.
He said, “No, I like my biapers.  They make me warmy.”
Whatever.

On The Go

This little baby of mine is always on the go!
All I know is that Dash is the cutest and most easy-going kid on earth.
I am hoping his on-the-go status over the last few years created him into what he is now.
Because if that’s the case, I am headed for a toddler that is even better than Dash.
Impossible?
Time will tell.

Dancer

img_1237-2014-01-15-at-14-15-33.jpg
Navy tried out a dance class today that is partially dancing and partially singing/acting.
Needless to say, she LOVED it!
I’m not sure if she loved it because she loved it, or because they were dancing and singing to the Frozen song “Let it Be” she is obsessed with.
I think it’s safe to say that she will definitely be heading back to that class!
And it was a good thing my mom was there to witness it all because she said the second the class performance was over, “Now let’s go get her a decent leotard so she doesn’t look like a hoochie mama!”
Apparently, my mom prefers black over the hand-me-down she got from Kaili Hemeon.

Chess Trophy

This handsome gent came out of chess class carrying a trophy.
Apparently, there were four trophies.
Scout came out with third place and was pumped!
He has become such a little chess stud, and is proud to let everyone know it.

Date With Dash

Bella has been out of town lately, and I have become Dash’s favorite again.
We have had so much buddy buddy time, it has been a blast.
Today, we had about an hour and a half together at the mall, and he was an angel.
We first ate, then headed into a few shops I wanted to check out.
Then I honored his request, and we hit up the playground.

He was happy as can be!
img_1227-2014-01-14-at-14-25-34.jpg
And kept making me look over at him.
“Watch this Mommy!”

And in the meantime, the Pips ate up a bottle and rested comfortably in my arms.

Soapy

Glad this guy came out of the bath spic and span!

The Best Help

img_1220-2014-01-13-at-10-29-53.jpg
This big sister is the best help I’ve got with this little sister!
Well, at least the best help that is of the same sex, in the same family who is within five years of the Pips!
But in that category….no one even comes close!

Dash & B

All of my kids adore B, but Dash has something pretty special with her right now.  Probably because it was B who introduced him to games on the IPad.  (I could kill her!)  But every time she is over, Dash runs to get the “blue IPad” and sits tightly next to her and demands her to play with him.  Most of the time she is excited, but she doesn’t really have a choice on the off times.  But last night, after the blue IPad had lost its battery, Dash disappeared for a bit.  Just when we had gotten rid of him, he came back in.
img_3075-2014-01-13-at-12-07-31.jpg
He was carrying an egg carton that is full of animal halves you have to match and put together, and he announced, “B…….Matching…..game…..coming!”
Everyone died over his cuteness.
And B hopped right down on the floor to set up the matching game and play with him.
That boy is hard to resist.
But impossible to resist when he calls you by name.

After Church Treats

img_1196-2014-01-12-at-12-52-56.jpg
Scout made a quesadilla after church today that could have fed a small army.

And just as the two kids were going to quiet time as full as can be, the primary President showed up with a treat for the upcoming birthday girl!

Selfies

img_1218-2014-01-12-at-15-44-29.jpg
Not that this is the cutest picture, but I think it is kind of funny to find my kid’s “selfies” on my phone.
Unfortunately, I don’t find it funny to have over 50 of this same picture.
At least I know the frame by frame movement of her tongue sticking out and then from side to side.
