It is supposed to be a day where the mothers in this family don’t lift a finger.
But this mothers day included cousins galore, in-laws galore, etc.
Basically, the world’s greatest mother (Patty Poo) worked her tail off to make it a nice day.
And it was nice!
Props to Patty Poo who knocked it out of the park two days in a row!
Note: Micah and Bryan….next year better make up for this year!
We were wiped after the wedding! WIPED! So wiped that all of the above kids were watching a movie and zonked out. We literally covered them and called it a night!
EXHALE!
In three words:
It was perfect!
I’m off to take a nap!
This is what most of my nights look like lately.
Wedding planning.
Constant wedding planning!
Have I ever told you that two months is REALLY FAST to be putting on a wedding?
Wish us luck.
Bella and Jon had a couple of extra people at her bridal photo shoot.
The bouquet holder, and the weasel who wasn’t great at listening to the rules!
She had me at the eyelashes.
But those lips are major contenders.
How perfect is the Pips?!
Scout has been thriving in his swimming lessons.
He is the youngest of five swimmers and doing the best.
Nice work Dash!
He claims Gretchen is his best friend.
His fake crying at the second lesson would have you thinking otherwise, but he really does love Gretchen.
And he performs for her.
Just take a look at this float!
After he is finished, he lays like a burrito in his towel, and licks his sucker that Gretchen brings him.
And then, after a few minutes of a rest, he wants to go in all over again.
I had already taken his swim diaper off, but told him to be VERY careful to not go poop in the pool.
And he listened.
He got out when necessary and pooped on the ground.
Great listening Dash!
Nonnie and I were shopping at Bloomingdale’s. We brought the perfect shopping mate. She was quiet, sweet, happy, stayed in her stroller, and was even able to sit in the high chair for the first time! Looks like she will be my shopping mate for a long time to come. Or at least until she whines and cries to walk herself! And then she is nixed completely!
Scout gave this talk in church today….
“We went to Lake Powell a few years ago. It was our family, some of my cousins were there, and even My Nonnie went. And she hates the heat and the sun. We had an awesome time.
One afternoon, my aunt and uncle took my Nonnie into the harbor to get some gas in our boat and pick up some snacks. When they were there, my Nonnie tried to step off the boat to the dock. But when she stepped, there was a wave that knocked the boat and made her step into the water and fall in!
When she fell in, she got trapped under the water below the dock and didn’t know which way was up. She was very confused, and said that she thought she might die.
But then came my uncle Bryan’s hand that reached out to get her and bring her to safety.
When my Nonnie tells that story, she always says that Bryan saved her life.
And he did!
Bryan saved Nonnie’s physical life!
But what about her other life – her spiritual life?
I’ll give you a hint….Navy just gave us the answer to this question….
She just said, “We have seen and do testify that the Father sent his son to be the Savior of the world.?
The answer is that Jesus Christ is our Savior.
Bryan might have saved my Nonnie’s life here on Earth, but it is our Savior, Jesus Christ, who saves her spiritual life so that I get to be with her forever and ever.
I am so grateful to Jesus Christ, because you better believe that Heaven just wouldn’t be complete without my Nonnie!”
Check out what Scout got from his best buds for his birthday!
Only a new surfboard, new leash and wetsuit!
Talk about SCORE!
Talk about nice friends!
Talk about nice friend’s mom!
XO Seth and Cade — we adore you!
