Navy’s birthday trip has turned out to be everything Navy wanted it to be.

Unfortunately, this trip is NOT everything Pippi wanted it to be.

Pippi has been deathly ill (the sickest I have ever seen her because it lasted for four days straight, and isn’t even close to being over).  She has absolutely NO energy, has thrown up a bunch, and just sleeps and sleeps while her body is fighting a 103 fever.

Her one dream of babysitting Chappy came true, when Bella provided a sick mask.  Too bad Pippi didn’t have the energy to hold him long, but it was probably for the better.

Navy and I are getting on the plane to go home after five really fun days, and Pippi will stay with Nonnie to hopefully get better.  I hate leaving a sick girl, but hopefully her cousins will be more fun than shuttling kids all over the town back at home.
Happy Birthday Navy…the trip was well deserved!

(Update: Who knew that leaving sick Pippi behind would cause two straight months of constant clinging to me.  She has since told the story of when she was “really sick and looked for mom, but she was never there”.  How horrible for her.  And who knew.  She always tells me that Nonnie is her favorite over me…but I guess what they say is true, about always wanting your mom when you are sick.  For a while, I had to tell her exactly where I was going and when I would be back for her to be okay with it…and most of the time, she just would want to come.  How sad for the Pips…but that sickness took her down!  She was really, really sick for 10 days.  And still not herself for another two weeks.  The doctor thinks it was just a weird virus, but mono was put in the conversation mix…and I am not so sure it wasn’t that???)
