Scout’s Social Studies teacher made some nice comments to Scout last week about what a joy he is to have in class. He was so pumped up about them, he came home and told me what she had said. I always think it is good for people to hear positive feedback, so I wrote the teacher a little note thanking her for saying such kind things to Scout, and to tell her that Scout really enjoys her class.
She responded with this:
I wasn’t loving the part about him being the former class clown, but I loved the part about him rising up as a leader. I agree that Scout is a natural-born leader, and I am really grateful to teachers who see that in him, and encourage his best self!
