On Scout’s eleventh birthday, I sent him to school in a silver glittery crown.  When I picked him up, he still had it on!  How rad is this kid, who doesn’t give a rip what he wears or does!  I LOVE his confidence!

For his birthday, I took him to Target to pick something out.  Instead of picking something for himself, he asked if he could let all of his siblings pick out something.  They all did…and were blown away by how nice he was!

We obviously went to sushi for dinner, where he got his picture up on the board.

Then we went home, where he got his presents…including a speed cube that he solved in about a minute, and a putting green from Seth and Cade!
Then we had his request — molten lava cake…that I overcooked!  HOW SAD!!!

And finally, he and I chatted for 30 minutes before bed, where I did a quick birthday interview with him.
Scout….how has it been 11 years!
You argue too much.  You tease a lot.  And you take too short of showers.  But you know how to be so selfless, and good, and happy.  You are sometimes a thorn in my side right now…but most of all…you are my literal pride and joy.  You make me laugh so hard!  You make me proud of you!  And you lead your siblings by a really great example most days.
I love you…all eleven years of you.
Kisses and more kisses.
