For Family Night tonight, we did something really cool.
Since our kitchen is being remodeled, we decided that before they put the countertops on, we would write words that described the family we want to be.
Some of my favorite words were
Kind
Happy
Daring
Fun
CTR
Fabulous
Nice
Busy
Legit

BUT OF EVERYTHING WRITTEN…MY FAVORITE BY FAR WAS
Dash, who sounded out Sacrificing.
It was the sweetest word, and his hard work to figure out how to write it was to die for!
And yes, I hope our family is sacrificing of our time, abilities and talents for those who need it, and especially for one another.
Lastly, we all traced our hand prints.
I tried to tie in “Many hands make light work”, but I had lost them by now!
(And even though I don’t want to mention it, at the beginning of this “art installation” Scout was being totally obnoxious, and was drawing annoying things. (Think booty) We changed them into flowers, but it was NOT a nice start to our Family Night. Good thing he shaped up quickly, and wrote “awesome” and “cool” before I made him write sentences on the top left quadrant!)
