In honor of our kids learning the Chinese language, Micah wanted to take the kids to Dim Sum. Each of the kids found something they really liked — even Scout! Scout and Navy both tried out speaking in Chinese, and the waitresses were impressed. Unfortunately, Dash payed the shy card. (Annoying!) Micah obviously loved the food. I was OK with it, until I spotted the spit guards the waitresses were wearing, and then I got so grossed out, I couldn’t manage to eat anything else.
Afterwards, Micah took me to Matteo, where I got some great new bedding for the up and coming new girl’s room.
Then we stopped for ice cream for a treat for the kids.
When we got back to the car…
DISASTER!
Apparently, I had left our “keyless entry” key in the bedding store that was closed for the three day weekend.
THANK GOODNESS I have the nicest sister and mom. As soon as I called, my mom and Trilby were on their way up to LA to bring me my spare key. Can you even imagine how selfless and kind they are!
Meanwhile, our family walked to a pizza store and ate, while the drivers were driving. When they got there, we had a spread of food out for them to enjoy.
Afterwards, we all returned home, and were happy to be at home in our own beds.
Thank Goodness.
