I finally caught up on my sleep from Pippi’s flu all nighter a few days ago, and Dash’s mini flu all nighter two nights ago — so it has been just enough time for another all nighter.
So goes the role of mom.
Dash went to bed in perfect shape.  But suddenly at 2:20am, he woke up screaming and crying.  He was inconsolable for 20 minutes.

When I finally got him to tell and show me what was going on, he showed me a really swollen front tooth, that had discolored over the previous four hours.  Because he lost a tooth just a few days ago, we checked to see if there were any other loose teeth.  There weren’t.  But upon inspection, this one was really loose.  Like pull-it-out loose.  No wonder Dash was inconsolable.  Going to bed with a perfect tooth, and having it go bad in four hours is insane!

Needless to say — it was a long night.
I kept him upright and tuned in.  Good thing the Super Blue Moon Eclipse kept us entertained for a bit of the night.

He was in good spirits by the time we got to the dentist.  But sadly for me — this is the last picture of him with his full top set of baby teeth.

Dr. Hada said that he thinks it was ready to come out, but that sometime in the night he either grinded his teeth/bit down/sucked his fingers in a weird position..and agitated the nerves while breaking some of the connections.
When he pulled his tooth, he said that in just that short time, it became infected and wanted out!
And so my boy is officially big.

And on the way home, I looked back to see my boy looking the way I felt.
