Grace wrote me this note today:
Ummm! Leave it to Scout to get all of his tutoring money returned to him by Grace. I was so pleased to see that she thinks Scout is working so hard. And Scout was so stoked to get $11 returned to him. I literally laughed so hard when I read this note, and then I looked up at Scout, and he had the most “I’m the greatest kid on earth” smile across his face!
Classic Scout, who is $11 richer.
And sucker me, who sent a return note to Grace the next day. I applauded her efforts and kindness, with a mandatory-to-keep $20 bill inside!
