Micah introduced us to the Mona rope swings last year.
We were obviously going to return to them this year…but I thought going solo was a bit sketchy.
So we called up Cade, and were so excited when he agreed to meet us.
Scout and Dash were pretty daring, but Navy played it safe. (Probably because she had a slightly close call last year when she slipped.) Cade was rad, and kept retrieving the rope over and over.
After a while, Scout and Cade decided to head over to some bigger rope swings. When they left us, the other kids and I went back to what we thought was a boat that was community property. We got in it, then rowed out to where Cade and Scout were. Half way to our spot, we passed the two guys who took out the other community boat, and said, “How rad that these boats are here!” To which he responded…”You are actually in MY boat.”
We were dying! He must have thought we were crazy! He was pretty cool about it, and told us to take it for a while. We said we would just quickly pick up the boys, and return his boat.
As we rowed away from the owner, we were dying laughing.
And then when we finally got Cade in the boat, he was SO embarassed…but we were cracking up!
After, we treated Cade to Los Hermanos…and relived the boat stealing story over and over!
