Tonight was the Daddy/Daughter luau!
Navy and Micah had an absolute blast, and Micah came home and gave me the minute by minute play by play. I actually think they might have shut the whole place down.
It all started with the invite from Micah:
When Navy said YES, we had to drum up a Hawaiian outfit for her.
I told Navy and Sophie (our neighbor) to go and find me enough flowers to make a lei. They came back with this whole tree branch, from who knows where. I literally had the perfect amount of flowers for a lei, and another for her head.
Her daddy delivered them in their refrigerated bags — right before the dance.
I’ll have to admit — I was very pleased with my work.
Not bad for a novice. And good thing I took “lei making” in Hawaii last month!
With both gussied up in their Hawaiian get ups, they both looked awesome.
Navy was on cloud nine!
Then as a perfect gentleman, Daddy got her door, and like an embarrassed little girl, she ran around to the other side of the car!
I quickly went over to talk to her about acting like the perfect lady…and according to Micah, she was perfect the rest of the night!
I am so glad they had a great time .. and even more glad that these two adore each other.
