Poor Pips has had a rash for about six months.  It’s called moluscum contagiosum, but we call it her “worms”.  Down the left side of her body, she has bumps that are itchy, and look like a cross between a wart and a blister.  You aren’t supposed to pick at them, because they can spread.  And because there really isn’t a quick cure, the best thing to do is wait them out, and they will go away by themselves.  But “waiting it out” is an 8 - 12 month deal.  And that is a long time for a girl who itches, and a mom who likes to pick.
We are about 6 months in, and I can barely take it anymore.  So this morning, I had a little picking fest.  Pippi doesn’t love it, but in about 2 weeks, those bumps will be gone.  (I know because Dash originally had this rash, and I took care of his quickly.)  But when she was refusing my picking, I went and showed her the cute new crayon BandAids I got for her, and she relented just enough for me to clean up a few of her bumps.  Poor little girl.
