We found out that Olympic Park was turning their ski jumps into a huge water slide today, so we went up to spectate.
It was amazing!
We brought a picnic, put out some blankets, and ate and watched the entertainment.
And then…we went to their ropes course.
Where one of the funniest stories unfolded!
The kids were all geared up.
Pippi tried to join in, but was too little.
Scout insisted on going first.
The course wasn’t that easy, so he had to take his time.
Then Navy went, and was determined to be on Scout’s heels the whole time.
She would have rather taken a fall then let him too far in front.
From below, we were all cracking up.
Navy is the ultimate tease, and Scout gets so bothered by her.
And here is the picture to prove it!
His frustrations just came pouring out of him in the form of tears and yells and, “Navy, you’re such an IDIOT”!
(He got in trouble for that one.)
It was actually hilarious to see unfold.
And the best part was when Navy said, “Scout, what am I doing? I’m not doing anything.”
YEAH RIGHT!
When Dash got on the course, there was no way he would have been able to do it by himself, so Micah geared up.
Dash loved it so much.
He thought he was a big guy.
He even took on obstacles he could by himself!
It was a really rad course.

But just when I thought the hilarity ended, another story crept up.
This may even be funnier!
It was pretty hot out. So when a double jogger stroller, that looked like ours at home, was sitting there with a drink cup in it, Pippi thought it was ours. I realized that she thought it was ours, and quickly told her it wasn’t ours, and that drink most certainly wasn’t ours! She kept telling me she was thirsty, and she kept eyeing that drink, so I watched her like a hawk.
Two minutes went by, five minutes went by, ten minutes went by.
She was patient, I was patient.
And then when she thought I wasn’t looking, she went in for the kill.
She was smart enough to not take an actual drink yet, but she rested her lip on that straw and watched me from the corner of her eye.
As soon as I turned more directly at her, she got up so fast!
Then she said, “I not take a drink”!
I guess I never told her not to rest her mouth on the straw??
Then we headed to the drinking fountain.
Then hit the slopes for a little snowboarding.
And finally got back to watch the water sliders.
