We spent hours and hours cleaning out the garage this morning. Each kid was a pretty good helper. But every once in a while, we had to reel some biker dudes back to the garage to help.
Biker Dudes
Newsies
For Christmas, Nonnie got tickets to go to Newsies with Scout. So tonight was the night, and apparently it was great “once you could get past the accents”! Scout said it was good, but Navy could go to the next play. My favorite thing was that Nonnie got a picture of Scout. I was really impressed, and then she told me that Scout set the whole thing up, and all she had to do was press the button. Haha!
A Night Off
When my Mother’s Day present was a night at the Dana Point Marriott, I almost screamed out with joy! And then when I found out Britni was getting the same thing, and we were going together….I DID scream out with joy!
Let’s make this a Mother’s Day tradition!
Busted
I got this Email today:
I’ve got to be honest…
I feel like the word “Bully” is a little extreme, and is also highly overused in society today.
But if I am wrong, and I am “that mom”, then I think I might also be a bully.
But I prefer to call it a prankster.
(And to go farther with the “that mom” theme…shouldn’t the kid who almost ate the bird poop get a note home. Like “your kid might not be the brightest…”)

Sidenote: I did speak to Scout about this, and told him to always be kind, and not pull pranks at school.
Coloring
Talk about their happy place!
How cute is Dash to set up coloring — each with their favorite coloring book, on top of their DayDay/NightNights!
They giggled the whole way through this little activity he set up.
Morning Line Up
Navy is the best! So today, when she asked that I go in to the morning announcements, I happily walked her in. They do school announcements, birthday shout outs, and then sing a patriotic song after the Pledge of Allegiance….and then…. the Bergeson Bests. These are little paper coupons that are put into a box when kids do something great around school. On our way in, Navy was telling me that her name has never been called! I told her there are a lot of people in her school, so it makes sense to not get called often. And then today….while I was sitting there…her name was called! I was so excited for her, I forgot to take a picture. Yay for the recognition.
And after the school’s recognition, I decided to personally recognize her for sitting on her knees (the more uncomfortable way to sit), to protect her outfit. Glad to see that my requests are being met. There is something about black bums on new clothes that drives me nuts!
Reunions
After school, or in this case — art class, Pippi runs into the other kid’s arms. You’ve got to love siblings who love each other.
King Boo Boo’s Boo Boos
Dash was on the couch today, and I was amazed at all of his bruises. This kid has scrapes, cuts, bruises, and bonks at all times! Talk about a kid who wants to live up to his nickname.
Cowgirl
How stinking cute can a cowgirl be?
She thought she was so big because she was on it all by herself for a little while!
Scout’s Third Grade Performance
Scout’s school has an awesome music department. His performance was really good. But afterwards, I asked him why he is the only person who looks at their mom every 3 seconds and gives an “isn’t this ridiculous” smile. He and I were literally cracking up (across the room) with each other the whole time.
