Every once in a while, when I go pick up Scout at school, he is sitting on the ground working on his homework.
He forgoes playing “backpack bumpers” with Noah, he doesn’t chase any girls, and he doesn’t try to do tricks on the swings — he just sits and works.
There are two reasons he can be found working….
1 — he wants to do something after school, and knows that homework is to be done first.
-OR-
2 — He is on a kick where he is trying to be the perfect child. He does this quite often, and makes me sooooo proud as a mother to know that when he wants to, he really does know how to be awesome!
