I don’t condone IPad time. But when 7 people are in an apartment the size of a cracker box, I CONDONE IT!
So here are three crazies on the IPad, while they wait out Pippi’s nap.
And when I just can’t take electronics any longer….I make them put together some puzzles.
This hideous picture makes it official — Navy’s knocked out tooth is finally out.
(I guess “knocked out” is a little misleading, but it was knocked out to only a thread.)
We were pretty sure the tooth fairy wasn’t going to find us in Utah, so we bagged it until we get home.
(Where all of the special tooth fairy $2 bills are all stashed.)
This girl is rascally.
And her latest rascal move is taking off all clothing while in her nap.
And if she is only in a diaper….we all cross our fingers that she didn’t have a full bladder before bed.
(Look at her love for her “night night”.)
One week out…
And we are hanging by a thread…
…and getting stitches removed by Dr. Mom.
I always have known that Scout has an addiction to fruit.
But following in his footsteps is Dash, who wanted a big piece of fruit, every time we sat down to eat.
On vacation, we take it easy on Sundays. So after going to Sacrament Meeting, NayNay and I took the kids from beautiful place to beautiful place in Utah.
We looped from Salt Lake to Salt Lake, with stops in Midway, Sundance and Aspen Grove.
And I literally can barely believe how beautiful it is in the Wasatch Mountains.
See for yourself….
(Ponds.)
(Paths.)
(Swings.)
(They were loving the grass hill.)
(NayNay has a thing for the Pips.)
(Scout was teaching Pippi how to roll down the hill)
(Dash didn’t like the girl crown.)
(So crowned Pippi with it.)
(Then I made him a crown fit for a boy.)
(Pippi ended up eating hers.)
(Dash learned the art of spraying with the fountain water.)
(But it backfired.)
(Crossfire.)
These four are a lot of work at times, but this was one of those days, where they just played and played and everything was easy and magical.
(Minus the moment when I thought we lost the keys.)
It was clear today that Navy’s tooth is turning grey and going to die on us.
It is already loose, and she keeps trying to yank it….but I stop her in an attempt to preserve her childhood.
But as we drove around today, I pointed out Trafalga.
The water slide park where Shem stopped in the middle of the slide to wait for me, and I rammed into him…knocking out my front baby tooth.
I guess the apple doesn’t fall far.
Gone is the magic of the Drive-Ins around where we live.
So, when I found one close to Bella’s house, we packed up for the new Minnion movie.
By the time the movie started, all of my kids were shirtless — but ready for the show.
We had a perfect view of it, and the sound was great. It was the easiest and funnest night. And when we got home…they were all sound asleep, which made putting them to bed (one of the most frustrating parts of my day) easy peasy.

My kids say they want to go every time we are in Utah.
And I assured them that I would let them earn it each time by being good on the car ride up.
So honestly…I’m not sure if we will ever go back, but it was fun while it lasted.
Just four kids learning to shake a doberman pincher’s hand.
