It was love at first sight, as I took my kids to the “Puppy Barn” in American Fork.
There were dozens of puppies, but all of my kids were obsessed with a little black Shmorkie, that Dash named “Petty Bones”. They were all so in love, that we talked my mom into getting Petty Bones for Trilby, the true dog lover.
We were just about to leave for home, so decided we needed to hit up Walmart for some quick puppy supplies.
We stopped for Ka and NayNay to see their new dog, and they were in deep love.
They were so excited, that they wanted to call B to tell her about the cutest dog ever!
And that is when B informed us that although she talks about getting a dog quite often, she wasn’t in the market just yet.
UH OH!
Good thing that the Puppy Barn said that we only had him for a few hours, and to just bring him back.
My kids were devastated.
And as they all said their goodbyes, you would have thought it was a funeral. They were already so in love with him, it was amazing. Especially the Pips, who finally had her own little sibling.

Update: We called to check on Petty Bones a few days later, and are happy to report that he went to a nice family with two children.
