Every once in a while, I love to go back to my old stomping grounds.
So when I had all of the kids in the car, and we were heading through Santa Ana, I stopped to show them my elementary school.
But before Santiago Elementary, on a whim, I turned left to where my old piano teacher lived.
I was sure she was no longer there — it has been about 25 years.

But guess who was teaching a student as we knocked?!?!
It was short, and Mrs. Bruce looks the exact same, but it was fun to see her.

And then we headed to my K-5th grade playgrounds.
They had changed quite a bit.

But the old part of the school was almost the same.
Here is Pips in front of the 5th grade rooms.
Mr. Geivet taught me in the last door on the left.

I might love memory lane more than the average person…but maybe because my memory lane was filled with pure happiness.
