This year’s Jog-A-Thon was a success.
It was Navy’s first, and she ran like the wind. Even outrunning her buddy Enzo who is in first grade!
I was really impressed with Scout also. We always say, slow and steady is best. I told him it doesn’t matter how fast you go, but to never stop. And he didn’t stop the whole time. And it was record heat!
But my favorite part about the Jog-A-Thon, is the “sibling lap”.
Navy took Dash and Pippi each on a lap.
And Scout walked a lap with Dash during his cool down.
And when they didn’t come back, I realized that Dash was holding his own with Scout’s buddies.

So who does the award…for best jogger…go to?
Only the cutest of them all, who had the jogging arm movements down…and literally “jogged” two laps amongst the big kids.
Her only hurdle?
Every single parent who was rescuing the wandering baby.
Little did they know — I had my eye on her the whole time, as her determination was beaming.
