We were supposed to be out of town for the long weekend, but plans changed.
So I decided that while we had extra time, I was going to take each kid on a special date.
Dash was first.
Dash and I started at Good Choice sushi, and then we decided to go to Dana Hills and see Nate play in his final basketball game.
We obviously dressed in blue, and cheered really loudly.
Dash got to pick a treat, and Ka was there to visit us at half time.
After the game, he trumped everyone and ran to give Nate his first hug.
Then Dash and I walked around the school, so I could show him what lockers are, where kids ate, and of course…where Daddy had his name on the wall.

It is funny that I always think special dates are me treating the kids.
But I think I am the one who really gets the treat with this one on one time.
We had the best time.
And Dash was the perfect date. He got my door each time, he “payed” for dinner with my credit card, he and I talked about the moon in the car, and for one teeny tiny night, it was just the two of us.
