Scout and Navy are fond of the phrase, “You are cray cray in the bray bray.”
Translation: You are crazy in the brain.
Well, this Pips is Cray Cray.
Why?
I spent 45 seconds putting the milk away and turned to find a girl who had crawled out of her high chair, and over the counter to sit and watch what I was doing.
I have become that mom!
It wasn’t until Pippi, that I allowed a child to walk freely during Sacrament Meeting.
And the ONLY reason, is because she screams bloody murder unless she has her freedom.
So if she can wander, she is happy and quiet., but the second she is contained, she screams.
-
So this day, as I sat across from my mom and Nathan Hale, Pippi went from person to person.
She finally decided on sitting next to Nathan, because he read to her, found her goodies to munch on, and sang with her.
It was actually quite cute to see a senior in high school so taken with the Pips.
And even cuter that I didn’t have to wrestle with her for the 20 minutes she was with Nathan.
We call this the “Pip Rip”.
And this is the sole reason that Pippi is lacking a whole lot of hair on the top of her head.
So either she will learn one day, or she will go around looking like Bozo The Clown eventually.
Navy turned six on the 20th. That was four days ago. About five days ago, she started talking about how excited she was for her party this year.
Uh Oh.
I wasn’t really planning on doing a party this year, but why not?
So I called everyone that day and reserved a time.
And now…five days later, here we are.
Big Air
5 Princesses and 1 Princess-In-Training
Here is the crew when we got there….
And a few sweaty ones mid-jumping.
Our princess in training…
…got great tips from the birthday princess.
A few imposters came to celebrate with Navy.
Our main princess had her loose tooth checked by her Daddy.
And then all of the princesses headed to the viewing window at Krispy Kremes.
Where the princesses ate, and gave gifts.

Not bad for a last minute party.
Navy was born with a tooth that was a few shades more yellow than the rest. We called it her “popcorn tooth”. Well, it was loose, and she pulled it out herself last night. And I am please that the Tooth Fairy recognized her…and the specialness of the tooth!
Popcorn for the popcorn tooth!
We were invited to Joyce Wolfe’s father’s 100 yr. old birthday party.
It was really well done.
She personally drew out a timeline that spanned his whole life, and it was fascinating to see what developments, inventions, and events have taken place these past 100 years.
After the dinner, there was a bit of dancing.
And I can’t tell you how young and spry - not to mention, darling - these two were!
Pippi hates a high ponytail that holds a heavy bow.
Mama hates a girl with raggedy hair without a bow to specify the female gender.
So we compromised.
She gets the ponytail no matter what.
And when she is cruising around town in her car seat, she goes bowless to give her neck muscles a rest.
As we all ate dinner, Navy announced it was time for her dad to pull her tooth out.
So for three minutes he worked on it…and the poor little girl was left with a tooth, and a little traumatized.
(In fairness, her teeth are the tiniest things on earth.)
Fast forward an hour, and guess who pulled her very own tooth!
She finally finagled and twisted it just enough.
And how darling is Scout, who ran away for five minutes, returning with this “special box for her tooth, so the tooth fairy will be able to find it”.
And she did — and left a crispy new $2 bill.
Micah stuck bike pegs on Scout’s new bike.
Needless to say, they are rad!
Scout loves being in charge.
And Navy loves a good adventure.
And a good squat workout!
Navy is 6 today!
She woke up to her brother making her tons and tons of birthday origami.
And a special origami love note to the birthday girl.
And then she headed off to school with her birthday handouts for everyone.
When I picked her up, she had her gold crown on that they gave her at school…and she just looked a bit older.
-
We had a fun afternoon filled with Yogurtland and playing.
And then we were off to Outback Steakhouse (her pick) for pasta and presents!
And she was an EasyBake Oven, 100 pens, cute outfits and some sugar cereal richer!
-
Happy Birthday to the cutest and best girl I know.
And stop trying to fake us out with the seven fingers you are holding up!
