It’s an exciting day in our household.
Scout, who refuses to take a normal and cute picture with un-crossed eyes, is in second grade.
And Navy, who was excited/nervous, is in kindergarten.

It was an early morning, and they both woke up rubbing their eyes.

Then they were off - new BYU bookstore backpacks and all.
Scout headed right to line up, and got to see all of his friends again, and seemed really excited to be back.
And I took Navy to her first day where I stay the whole time.

You can tell by her expression that this might be a long day.
I know that expression well.
He nerves turned into devious behavior.
But at this point, nobody knew it but me.

The deviance manifested itself immediately.
Every time I picked up the camera to snap a picture, she covered her face.
It was so out of control, that parents were whispering and/or laughing a little.
I gave her a few, silent five-finger counts.
Nothing changed, so I went with it.

And treated her to a delicious breakfast after class.

Good thing I bribed both teachers and the principal with some Martinelli’s, to cover for any of my children’s bad behavior.
